Queen of All Trades
As some may know, I consider myself talented at many things, from playing instruments to writing, and I have a ton of interests. One thing that’s near and dear to my heart is dance and cheerleading- I’ve done both for most of my life, and have written a few pieces about these sports (yes, I do consider them to be sports). Dance is such as great form of exercise and expression- I think that’s what I love most about it, the artistic part. The last time I sported pom pons on a field was when I was 19, and director/choreographer of a semi-pro cheer squad. Now it is four years and a baby later, and I’m about to do it again…well the director/choreographer part, I’ll skip performing this time around. I’m excited about it, and will spill details once everything is finalized.
On another note: I know this is my first post in a while, but don’t forget to check out the article updates, and my tweets (twitter updates) on the side of this page…I update the article list and tweet at least every other day!

Upcoming Series…
I have decided on the moniker for my upcoming books. Why do I even need one? Well as a publicist, I know how important it is to create a brand. Sure you can just publish books, but I want them to connect to me. Think about the “For Dummies” series and “FabJob”- they are successful book brands. Would they have been as big a hit without the monikers? I don’t think so, but that’s something we can only speculate about…
At first, I wanted to go with “The Fab Girl’s Guide”, but that’s too similar to a tween book series called “The Fab Girls Guide”. So I’ve decided upon a name that is great, fits the titles well, and is original. Up first will be my business idea book. I predicted it would be completed faster than the military wedding guide, and I was right- I expect it to be done by this coming June- that’s pretty good considering the other projects I have going on, combined with school.
On another note, I’ve added the links to many of my latest articles, so go check them out!

Progress and Projects
I’ve been writing (much of it ghostwriting) a TON lately, especially about decorating, weddings, and eco-friendly living. There are a few articles that will be published soon about green weddings, and I’ll post them when they’re ready. I had no idea there was a whole world of eco-conscious wedding planning and supplies, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise in this day and age; going green is the new black (I think I heard that somewhere…can’t remember where).
Speaking of weddings, I’m getting further along with my military weddings book project, but have decided to change the name. I’m also about to start writing my business idea book…can’t wait for that, and I think it may even be done before the wedding book. When it comes to business, I’m overflowing with ideas, so it should be a fun, smooth project.
Ok, I’m off to relax for a bit, work on my final projects for school, and then write some more!

Tada!
The story of how this site came to be is amazing…ok, maybe not amazing, but it’s pretty neat. Today I was sitting around after writing a few articles literally thinking “I wish I had a way to put all my work in one place”. I write for many different outlets, with no source having duplicate articles (i.e. my articles are spread out all over the place). I figured that making a website would be a good idea- and I just set out and got it done.
I bought the domain, got the space, did a little magic with PSP, and bam…in under 3 hours, we have thefabgirl.com. Speaking of thefabgirl.com, “The Fab Girl” is my alter-ego. Beyonce has Sasha Fierce, I am The Fab Girl. I don’t get to strut around on a stage like her, but hey…writing is what I do and what I love.
Of course this is a work in progress and I’ll be updating it regularly. Any ideas for the site, or articles you’d like to read? Let me know in the comments.
